Larry Joe McCrary

Obit:
age 69, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, February 04,
2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Sara
McCrary; one brother, Jackie McCrary. He is survived by his wife of
37 years, Veronica Hope McCrary; one daughter, Stephanie McCrary;
two sons, Billy McCrary (Melanie), Shane Turnage (Fran); two
sisters, Sherry Kingsbury (Jeff), Debbie Collier (Kent); one
brother, Gene McCrary (Carol); sister-in-law, Donna McCrary. Six
grandchildren, Josh McClung (Claryssa), Brooke Neves (Tyler),
Bridgett McCrary (Dylan Watkins); David Wauford, Autumn Turnage,
Hunter McClung; four great-grandchildren, Bella McClung, Veda
Watkins, Beau McClung, Caroline Neves.
If you ever met Larry, he became your friend. Never could meet a
stranger. He was the most loving, kindest husband, father,
grandfather, Great-grandfather and brother. But most of all he was
very Loyal to our Lord Jesus.
Larry served on the security team at the church and also volunteered
with many actives that they had. And also, he was one of the ushers.
He was an Alumni of Madison High School, where he actively played
sports. Worked as an Elevator Mechanic with Nashville Machine and
Retired from Otis Elevator. Joint owners with his brothers and
sisters of the Haunted Woods of the Bend. In which they donated
thousands of dollars to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital and to local
Community Parks.
He was the Chapter director of the Rivergate Harley Davidson Group
for Several Years, and still belonged to the chapter.
Larry was very active in riding his motorcycle, camping, and
fishing. His favorite thing to do was to lay on a float in the pool
or play with his grandkids.
The family ask in lieu of flowers to donate to St. Jude Children’s
or to Generation Changers Church Ministries.
Visitation for Larry will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021
from Noon until 2 PM at which time a Celebration of Life Memorial
Service will be conducted from the chapel of Generation Changers
Church, 224 Stewarts Ferry Pike, Nashville, TN, 37214 lead by Bro.
Jerry Smith, Bro. Barry Smith and Bro. Kent Collier. Please continue
to use the safety procedures with the mask and social distancing.
